SUPPORT

Help with Out of the Blue.

Out of the Blue is in development. This page covers the current TestFlight build and will be updated as the app changes.

HOW IT WORKS

A private way to reconnect.

Choose people from your iPhone Contacts, build your call list, and let the dial choose who to call. The person’s name and photo stay hidden until they answer.

CONTACTS PERMISSION

Give the app access to the people you choose.

Out of the Blue uses Contacts permission to help you build a private call list. Your contacts stay on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us.

To change access later, open Settings > Apps > Out of the Blue > Contacts. On older iOS versions, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Contacts, then choose Out of the Blue.

YOUR CALL LIST

Add people. Remove people. Keep it yours.

Use Add to the dial to choose people from Contacts. To remove someone, open your call list and remove that person. The list is stored locally on your iPhone.

THE CALL

The reveal happens when they answer.

When you start a call, the app keeps the selected person’s identity hidden. If they answer, Out of the Blue reveals who you reached. If the call is not answered, the identity stays hidden.

TROUBLESHOOTING

A few things to check.

• Permission denied: open iPhone Settings and allow Contacts access.

• No callable contacts: check that the people in your list have a phone number.

• The call does not start: confirm your iPhone can place a regular phone call, then close and reopen Out of the Blue.

• The app looks out of date: install the latest TestFlight build or App Store update when one is available.
